Drying is one of the important and most energy consuming
processes in the food processing, chemical, printing, fabric dying
industries, etc., In farmer level drying is being done on open
yards without any good hygienic conditions. |
THERMAL ENERGY |
Generally thermal energy, (hot air) is being used to dry
the required products. Temperature of the air is maintained between
450C to 2500C depending on the products and
production methods. That energy is being produced by a conventional
fuels like electricity, firewood, diesel, furnace oil, kerosene,
etc.,
The cost of the conventional fuel is increasing day by day,
as the availability of the conventional fuel in the earth is
decreasing day by day. |
SOLAR DRYING TECHNOLOGY –
SOLAR AIR HEATING SYSTEMS |
Using freely available Solar Energy (without any additional heating
sources or with the back-up system) could generate the hot air
required for the drying applications. ATR Solar Air Heating Systems
can generate hot air with temperature ranges from 400C to
1000C. This hot air could be used for various drying
applications. ATR Solar Air Heating System could be easily adopted
with any present conventional system to reduce the present fuel
consumptions. |
